Dubai, UAE - BitSlaps, a multiplayer game developed by a six-member game studio, has launched its Twitch Extension alongside its Steam release, introducing a gameplay format in which live-stream viewers can trigger actions that affect a streamer’s in-game experience. The integration is designed to connect live audience activity with gameplay and explore new forms of interaction between streamers and their communities.Unlike conventional live-stream viewing, where audiences primarily watch gameplay and communicate through chat, BitSlaps allows viewers to participate through game-specific interactions. Depending on the game mode, viewers can trigger actions including slaps, movement changes, freezes, and other effects while a streamer is playing.
The BitSlaps Twitch Extension is now live and allows viewers to use Twitch Bits for supported in-game interactions. The company is using the extension as part of its broader effort to develop games around live-stream audiences rather than treating streaming as a separate promotional channel.
Since its launch, BitSlaps reports more than 1,000 downloads and more than 40 streamers onboarded. The company has also generated its first revenue from viewer interactions.
BitSlaps is currently available on Steam and is being developed for use with audiences across multiple live-streaming platforms. The development team is working on additional game modes centered on audience participation.
The project is being developed by Mulhiq LLC, with a development team based in Lahore, Pakistan. BitSlaps is one of the company's projects focused on the intersection of multiplayer gaming and live-streaming.
