At just 22, A. K. Khainal (Born on 26 September 2003) is not only writing a political thriller but also documenting his journey of selling it independently.

Based in New Delhi, Khainal describes himself as an indie author who is building his path from writing to selling. His debut book, This Is For You, Dad, is set to release on 6 August 2026 and falls under the political thriller genre, with strong elements of emotion and mystery.


From Rejection to Reinvention

Interestingly, A. K. did not originally plan to write a book.

He started by writing stories for films. However, after facing rejection, he decided to completely rework his idea and turn it into a novel. What began as a single story has now expanded into a much larger vision, with more than 12 interconnected story ideas planned for the future.

He plans to sell his book independently, focusing on direct interaction with readers rather than relying solely on conventional distribution channels. According to him, this journey is not just about selling a book, but about building a genuine connection with readers.

To support this, he is also documenting his book-selling journey through short videos and vlogs, giving audiences a real-time look into the process.


A Cinematic Storytelling Style

One of the defining aspects of Khainal’s writing is his cinematic approach.

Influenced heavily by films, he aims to create scenes that readers can visualize clearly. His storytelling blends action with emotional depth, allowing readers to experience the narrative as if they are watching it unfold.
